Hemmorhoids

Overview:

Hemmorhoids can be either internal, or external dilation and rupture of the veins in the anal region.


Aetiology:

The cause for hemmorhoids are not well understood, but is considered to be associated with straining during defecation. 

Hemmorhoids have also been found to be exaacerbated by pelvic congestion such as with pregnancy or constipation as well as prostate enlargement.
